Philippians 2:5 (NKJV)
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We live in the land of the compromise. Right is wrong and wrong is right. As a nation we have become double minded in all our ways. When it comes to our faith, it really reveals that we have no faith at all.
It appears that many have took the people pleasing lifestyle of being “double minded”. We are politically correct in everything. Look at what God’s Word tells us:
5 those who bow down on the roofs
to worship the starry host,
those who bow down and swear by the Lord
and who also swear by Molech,
God’s people were trying to have the best of two worlds and would miss out on both of them. He would not accept their shady attempt to worship the idol of their hearts and the True and Living God of heaven. They could never reach their destiny in life or fulfill their purpose.
In the book of James in the we find these words:
5 But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to all people, so he will give you wisdom. 6 But when you ask God, you must believe and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown up and down by the wind. 7-8 Such doubters are thinking two different things at the same time, and they cannot decide about anything they do. They should not think they will receive anything from the Lord.
When we try to be Christ and of the world systems, we are thinking 2 different things at the same time. It’s impossible to trust in Christ and doubt Him at the same time. If your Christian walk has stalled out and your faith is not increasing, it may be that you have a double mind and don’t even know it. Remember without real faith it is impossible to please God.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NKJV)
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
6 Without faith no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.
Faith is more then just agreeing with the Word of God but also allowing our will to become God’s will concerning what we believe,
Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
