More Religion Or More Love (Agape) ?

babbleGenesis 11:1-10 (NIV)
1  Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.
2  As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
3  They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.
4  Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”
5  But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building.
6  The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
7  Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
8  So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.
9  That is why it was called Babel–because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

There is a “babel” among the nations on the subject of religion because nations don’t view the world and their destinies the same. Nations have the right to have faith but that faith should be based on fact. Just because you believe from an emotional point of view that you feel what you believe is true really don’t confirm the feeling is fact. There is a danger for emotional creatures that we allow emotions diction our actions and the facts of faith. We have as many and more religions as tongues of nations.

Below is the definition of religion:

A Definition Of Religion

Personal

A strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny
“he lost his faith but not his morality”
religion, faith, organized religion(noun)

Institutional
An institution to express belief in a divine power

A Definition Of Love (Agape)

.  “God demonstrated His love in the most perfect way possible: He gave His only begotten Son to the world. As God, He is perfect, which means His love is perfect. Therefore, God not only loves, but He so loves. He loves to perfection, loves to the ultimate degree. Whatever the ultimate degree and the perfect act and expression of love is, God shows it. Without question, the greatest act of love is the sacrifice of a man’s own life; therefore, God sacrificed the life of His own Son to save man.”

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

What the world has always needed more the religions is more people who love like God.
