Have we blessed somebody today??

Are We Being A Blessing At All Times?

If we are not careful we can forget what life is about on this earth as a Christian. If we are not careful we can focus so much on trying not to sin and missed the promise of God that sin no longer has power over us and spend our time counting our faults and the faults of others that puts us in a negative mind set that builds a “strong hold” for the Devil.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

 Luke 24:51 (NASB)
51  While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

Notice in the NASB version the text tells us ” while He (Jesus) was blessing them. This was the Lord Jesus Christ departing from his disciples and He was doing what He was always doing “Being a blessing”. Perhaps if we spend more time blessing others we would not be so miserable during the “sanctification” process of our salvation of our deliverance from the power of sin.

Romans 6:14 (NASB)
14  For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

 I am convicted by the Word that God’s intention for Christians to be “Conformed to the image of His Son(Jesus)

Romans 8:28-30 (NASB)
28  And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
29  For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;
30  and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

If we are called to be conformed to or be like Jesus and Jesus was in the blessing business when He came and was blessing folk when he left, then i believe in our daily coming and our daily blessing we need to be a blessing to others.

I Leave you with these thoughts:

Psalm 68:19—Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.

Lamentations 3:22-23—… It is of the Lord’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
