Eternal Life To Eternal Home
Our church family as well as many families in the brotherhood has had love ones go home to be with the Lord. This have caused unspeakable grief to many and lack luster worship and even attendance has decrease for some. I was praying in the Spirit one day last week and i mentioned that Christians go from “life to life” not from life to death.
John 5:24 (NKJV)
24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
When we read the past tense it reads “has passed” has already received eternal life without coming iAnto judgement. Most of my early years, the firefly hell and brim stone had been my main motivation obeying God instead of His indescribable, unwarranted and deserved love shown to me when the Lord Jesus Christ paid it all.
All Died When The Lord Jesus Christ Dead
2 Corinthians 5:14-16 (NKJV)
14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
We read about our seal,
How Do You Know You Have Eternal Life In Practice?
That’s a good question.
Ephesians 1:13 (NKJV)
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
When we glorify God by “grace founded” good works we know that He keep His Promise.
Philippians 2:13 (NKJV)
13 for it God who works in you both to will and to do for His goo”dd pleasure.
It’s God the Holy Spirit working through grace on the inside of us manifesting the works of God to the world. Every time we glorify God, and it’s by God’s energy, power and purpose we know that we have passed from death to eternal life
When we examine Rev. 14:13 we find those works that God worked in us and through us by our obedient faith has followed us all the way home.
Revelation 14:13 (NKJV)
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
