Destiny- A Marvelous Destiny

1 Peter 4:11 (NKJV)
11  If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Jeremiah 10:23 (NKJV)
23  O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

Ephesians 6:1-4 (NKJV)
1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2  “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise:
3  “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
4  And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Acts 17:24-28 (NKJV)
24  God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
25  Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.
26  And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
27  so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
28  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

Acts 17:24-28 (NCV)
24  The God who made the whole world and everything in it is the Lord of the land and the sky. He does not live in temples built by human hands.
25  This God is the One who gives life, breath, and everything else to people. He does not need any help from them; he has everything he needs.
26  God began by making one person, and from him came all the different people who live everywhere in the world. God decided exactly when and where they must live.
27  God wanted them to look for him and perhaps search all around for him and find him, though he is not far from any of us:
28  ’We live in him. We walk in him. We are in him.’ Some of your own poets have said: ’For we are his children.’

Acts 17:24-28 (NIV)
24  “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.
25  And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.
26  From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
27  God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
28  ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

Psalm 139:13-16 (NKJV)
13  For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14  I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
15  My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16  Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

From v14 & 16. “A Marvelous Destiny”

The Lord’s works are marvelous but there are some folk so controlling that they frustrate the grace of God (Gal 2:21) with their petty ideas and missed the marvelous destiny that God has planned for us that is secured in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Since I have been a Christian I just always believed that the creator of the universe and all that is in knows more and has more power than my planning and plotting. God saw our substance (16) before we had even been formed into an embryo in our mother’s womb and “fashioned all my days”. God fashioned “marvelous days” for everyone on the planet. God is “good” all the time. He can’t lie and can’t ever be wrong. Titus 1:2 (NKJV) 2  in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

In this text we notice that “all my days” have been “fashioned for me”. There is a boundary set on what I can become and how long I have to become. When many of us came into the body of Christ via obeying the gospel of Christ Romans 1:16 we had used up some of those days “playing the fool”. 1 Samuel 26:21 (ASV)
21  Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David; for I will no more do thee harm, because my life was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly

Saul “played the fool” and change the destiny that the Lord God had created for him by compromising his obedience. He did not do all the Lord God commanded him but seem to spare king Agag as an alley in his future. Listen

1 Samuel 15:22-28

1 Samuel 15:22-28 (NKJV) (The “worldly king”, a heart after the world)
22  So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.
23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king.”
24  Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.
25  Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD.”
26  But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel.”
27  And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore.
28  So Samuel said to him, “The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.

In Christ we have “Newness”

Romans 6:3-4 (NKJV)
3  Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4  Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

You have a “new earthly destiny to fulfilled”

You have a “ new heavenly destiny” waiting”

Your destiny can be marvelous again!
